James Fulton Obituary

James Allan Fulton, Jr. GOOSE CREEK - James Allan Fulton, Jr., 69, of Goose Creek, South Carolina, husband of Ann (Cogley) Fulton, passed away on Saturday, April 22, 2023, after a lengthy illness. He was born on October 30, 1953, in Wilkes-Barre, PA, to James Allan Fulton, Sr. and Martha Madeline Nemec Fulton, who both preceded him in death. Jim decided early in life that he wanted eventually to live in the Carolinas, where his father and the family had been stationed during his childhood. He and his wife moved there when they retired. Jim lived most of his life in or near Pittsburgh, PA, first in Dormont and then for most of his adult life in South Park. He graduated from Keystone Oaks High School and then Penn State University, majoring in Accounting. He taught accounting for 40 years at Corinthian Colleges. He truly loved teaching and often said he found his calling. He found another calling, being a husband, father, and grandfather. Married 43 years, he leaves his wife, Ann. He leaves his son, Alex James (Tara), who lives in Bethel Park, PA, with sons, Ronin, Levi, and Asher. He also leaves his son, Kirk Robert (Nicole), in Los Osos, CA, with daughters, Lila Ariel and Avigail Elizabeth. Jim's favorite area of interest has always been history, which he passed along to his sons. Now he has been busy indoctrinating his grandchildren, especially the boys, who can now set up a table-size world map outlining, populating, arming, and supplying both the European and Pacific theaters of World War 11. Since he has lived in Goose Creek, he has found not only beaches he loves, lots of historical sites, and a wonderful church home at Peace Presbyterian Church, where he has been active in work with the church's Little Pantry, a mission that provides supplementary food where needed by students in five elementary schools in the community. A Service of Celebration for Jim's life will be held at Peace Presbyterian Church at 174 Londonderry Road in Goose Creek on May 7, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations in Jim's memory to Peace Presbyterian Church, designated for Little Pantry, or to a charity of your choice.
