James Dick Obituary

DICK, James James Russell Dick, 82, son of Colonel & Mrs. James R. Dick (deceased), passed 19 September. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mildred Slaton Dick son, James Linden (Ellen) McKinney, Texas, Daughters Janet Szakovits (Bill) Winter Springs, Florida, Donna Taylor (Stacey) San Diego, California and Joan Haussling, Fort Lauderdale, Florida and five Grandsons David & Steven Linden, Jack & Nick Taylor & Alex Szakovits and brother LTC Harvey M. Dick (Margie), Charleston, South Carolina. Born at Fort Moultrie, South Carolina 9 August 1924. He moved to Florida in 1946 where he resided in various cities for over 60 years. Nabisco Corp. employed him for over 36 years retiring as a District Sales manager in 1986.He was a Mason and a member of Mahi Shrine in Miami, Florida where for years he transported Cripple Children to the Shrine Hospital in Tampa, Florida .He was a founding and current member of the Highlands Presbyterian Church in Gainesville, Florida. Internment will be in Charleston, South Carolina at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations to the Highlands Presbyterian Church, 1001 NE 16thStreet, Gainesville, Florida, 32601. Visit our guestbook a www.charleston.nt/deaths.
