My deepest condolences go out to Jim's family and friends. I first met Jim in 2005 when he painted my home. This was my first home and I was obviously inexperienced. Jim was so helpful with his suggestions and put me in touch with someone who could install the tile in my kitchen. Over the years I would periodically call on him, and most recently I decided to sell my home (I had moved from the area in 2010) last spring. My first thought was to call Jim. My last tenant had caused a lot of damage to my home and there was so much that needed to be done. Jim worked with me every day for a week, going above and beyond to help me. And Jim didn't do it to make an extra buck, he did it because he cared. Even after I flew home, I left Jim the key and he picked up the screens for the windows and installed them. I trusted him completely. Jim had a kind and gentle soul, and he was an honest and decent human being. From the bottom of my heart, thank you Jim, for everything.

Jim was a great neighbor and an even better friend who I will always remember. I still go outside and expect to see him doing something in the yard. He will truly be missed and I will continue to pray for his family and other friends.

You will never be forgotten Jim. You were a very close friend of mine, and I didn't expect you to go this soon. I actually learned things from you, and I don't even think that you realized that. I also don't think you realized how much you helped people and how much you did for people. You did more for people than you ever knew and helped more people than you will ever know, and those people will never forget that. Thank you for that, and for being there for me the way you always were. We had a lot of good times together and good memories, I will never forget them. My prayers go out to his family and for everyone else that knew him and was close to him.
