I will always remember Jimmy. He rushed me to the hospital after an accident 40 years ago. Years later he taught me and other rookies how to deal with the public. He was one of a kind, and will be missed by many.

We were so very saddened to hear of the loss of your dad. I could tell from our conversations at Sunday School how much you loved and cared for him. Please know you and your family are in our prayers.

When I visited my daughter Paige and her family, we always went for a walk and always stopped by to speak to Mr. Jim. He was such a kind man and he was so good to Kilbey and Spencer. They share your grief and I do too. I pray you will find comfort in good memories. Blessings, peace and love from Lunenburg County, Virginia.

We lived 6 houses down from Mr. Jim and my children (and we) loved him. He always had a candy bar for the boys and a biscuit for our dog. And he always wanted to know when Kilbey would outgrow his mom and if Spencer's eyes were still blue. We have all missed having him on our block and will continue to do so. We miss little Clifford too! May peace and happy memories be with all of you.
Sincerely, Paige, Chuck, Kilbey and Spencer McCormick (Kilo the dog, too)

I met Mr. Cantwell as the Secretary of Charleston Metro FOP Lodge #5. He was a dedicated member, and a sweet, kind man who will be dearly missed.
