James Bunch Obituary

James Bunch SUMMERVILLE - James Heyward Bunch, 81, of Summerville, SC, entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 14, 2025. Born in Summerville on November 24, 1943, he was the son of the late George Heyward Bunch and Gladys Kelly Bunch. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Willa Jean Bunch; and his stepson, Darryl Randall Williamson. He was a member of Summerville Masonic Lodge #234 and the Omar Shrine Temple. James was a lifelong member of Boone Hill United Methodist Church. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, James was always willing to help family and friends. He enjoyed working on cars (his was always spotless), camping, watching NASCAR, and dining out with loved ones. He is survived by three stepsons: Bob Williamson (Patrick) of Lexington, SC; Bill Williamson (Anjay) of Columbia, SC; and Tom Williamson (Pam) of Easley, SC. He is also survived by his brothers: Bruce Bunch, Mickey Bunch (Gail), and Ronnie Bunch (Karen), along with many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. James will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in James' honor to a charity of your choice. A visitation will be held at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home on Monday, July 21, 2025, at 10:30AM. A chapel service will follow at 11:00AM.
