James Bouchillon Obituary

James H. "Jim" Bouchillon, Jr. N. CHARLESTON - James H. Bouchillon, Jr. "Jim", 84, of Charleston Heights, North Charleston, born August 6, 1929, in Georgetown, SC, died Wednesday, April 16, 2014. After joining the US Army in 1948, he became a proud member of the 82nd Airborne. He was honorably discharged in 1951. He then moved to South Carolina, where he met and married Joann Swangham in 1953. He worked for years as a machinist and planning instructor until retiring in 1988. He was a member of the following: Pathagoran Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, The Omar Shrine Temple, The Goose Creek American Legion, The 82nd Airborne Assoc. and The Goose Creek Senior Center. He is survived by his son, James R. Bouchillon "Randy", his wife, Sandi, sons, J.R. and Caleb and their wives and children; his daughter, Rhonda A. Mitchell, her son, Curtis Mitchell and wife. He has 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren. Being an active member of Our Father's House, in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the church, [email protected] or the following address. He will be extremely missed by all those he touched with his life. My deepest Sympathies to Rhonda and Randy and the entire family. My how the family has grown. I was around 8 years old when Jim and Joann moved across the street from us....I will always remember their smiling faces and waving at hollering "hey baby". They were both always so happy. Dad, words are not enough to say what a great Father and man you are. You will always be with me in my heart and soul. I will never forget our cross country trip together last September. Oh what fun we had. Keep that motorhome rollin. Love always "your favorite daughter" Rhonda.
