James Antley Obituary

ANTLEY, SR., James Mr. James Allen Antley, Sr., age 65, husband of Susan Pierce Antley, of Summerville, passed away at The Medical University of South Carolina Medical Center in Charleston in the evening on Monday, November 19, 2007. Friends and family of Mr. Antley are invited to attend his funeral service at Seacoast Christian Community Church, 717 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC, on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 1:00 pm. Burial will immediately follow at Carolina Memorial Park, North Charleston. A visitation will be held at CAROLINA MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC., this evening, Friday, November 23, from 6:00 until 8:00. Mr. James Allen Antley Sr. was born on February 28, 1942 in Orangeburg, SC to Mr. Laurie Wade Antley and Mrs. Lenora Weeks Antley. He was a service manager at Marchant Chevrolet in Ravenel, SC and a member of Seacoast Christian Community Church, on Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant. He loved to go fishing and camping and was an avid racing fan. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Family members include his wife, Susan Pierce Antley of Summerville, two sons, James Allen Antley, Jr., 'Jamie' and his wife Denise of Summerville and Steve E. Antley and his wife Joie of Summerville; two daughters, Robin L. Bingham and her husband Dale, of North Charleston and Jeanne Browder of Summerville; 10 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; one sister, Cindy Packard, and her husband Brad, of North Charleston; two brothers, John David Antley and his wife Kay of Prosperity, SC and Wade Antley and his wife, the late Angie, of Orangeburg. Mr. Antley was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Laurie Wade Antley and Mrs. Lenora Weeks Antley, one sister, Barbara Stout and one nephew Brad Packard. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home or memorial contributions may be made in Mr. James Allen Antley's honor to Seacoast Christian Community Church, 717 Long Point Road, Mount Pleasant, SC, 29464.
