Many years ago,I had the pleasure of knowing the Allen family. I met them when I worked with Mary at Zales in Charlestown Square Mall. The Allen family made me part of their family. I still have pictures of Mary in her military uniform. I loved them all and know that Mr. Allen will be missed by many. May God be with you all.

Dear Barbara,
Ya'll planned a meaningful service for your dad and I'm so glad my mom and I could be there for it. You made it through your part beautifully! He was a caring man who touched many lives not only in your family but many friends too. It was wonderful to see all of you again and especially to see "lil" Archie and Dirk. I hope God will heal your hearts and leave only precious, joyful memories. Thanks for staying in touch with us. Give your mom another hug for me!
In love and friendship,
Sandy (Bryant) Parker

Family,
I had the highest respect and appreciation for Jim for serving our country through three wars. Very few have done that. He was full of wisdom, and stood for what he believed, yet had a kind heart, a gentle spirit, and a giving personality. He found humor in almost every situation. I am glad that he had a strong mind up until the very end. He was a great father and a wonderful "pawpaw" to his family. Knowing Jim made a difference in my life. I will continue to keep the family in my prayers for their loss in the coming days.

I loved him so dearly. He was such a good friend, and perhaps some of my kin, you will always be in my heart "Mr Jim". Jane and Nancy, my love to you both, also, to the rest of the family. He was part of my "Flea Market Family". We all took care of each other at the flea market, and I miss that so. I miss all of my family at the market. Mr. Jim, You especially. I"m in Gaffney, now, but when my son Passed Away earlier this year, I had to go to Mr. Jim and lean on his shoulder. Jane and Nancy you will always be in my heart and prays. LOVE YOU ALWAYS. Gail and Family,
Your dad will surely be missed by all that knew him. I remember Mr. Allen from many years ago when First Federal had a girl's softball team. He would always bring candy to all the children. Now my girls are grown and married, but I always thought it was very special that he took the time for this small act of kindness! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
