JOHN LOTSIOS Obituary
John Lotsios passed away peacefully with his family by his side on October 14, 2025, at the age of 49 years.
Those who knew John remember him for his infectious smile and laughter. He was a caring and kind-hearted person who touched many people in his lifetime.
John was deeply proud of his Greek heritage. He found great joy in travelling to Greece, listening to Greek music, and had a great knowledge of history, eagerly reading anything historical. He was a big sports enthusiast who enjoyed sports - football, baseball, or just taking a bike ride around the city. He was a true fan of the Green Bay Packers when they hit the field.
John is survived by his loving parents Chris and Chrisanthi, sister Patricia (Spiro), his greatest joy, nephew Yanni, and niece Eleni. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was predeceased by his paternal grandparents Yorgos and Paraskevi Lotsios and maternal grandparents Ioannis and Sophia Bouimtas, uncles Timoleon Karoutas and Mihalee Nagios.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital, Extendicare, Kelly Goold, Dr. Soofi and the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion.
A special thank you to family members for your love and support as well as Father Kosta for your blessings and prayers.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 when family and friends will gather in the Greek Orthodox Community Holy Trinity Church, 651 Beverly Street, presided by Reverend Father Konstantinos Tsiolas. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Greek Orthodox Community Holy Trinity Church.
