Jacqueline Anderson Obituary

Jacqueline Leora Anderson Mt. Pleasant - Jacqueline Leora Anderson, beloved wife of Jeff Anderson for 47 years, and beloved mother and best friend of Lauren Anderson, passed into God's eternal care on August 10, 2020 at home with her family. She was laid to rest at a private memorial and committal service within the sacred serenity, beauty and peace of Mepkin Abbey, on August 20, 2020. After retiring from NCMIC Group, Inc. in Des Moines as Vice President, Compliance & Corporate Secretary, Jacquie and her husband retired in Charleston, South Carolina, where she adored the Lowcountry marshes and ocean. Jacquie lived life to the fullest and loved to travel with her husband and daughter...but always welcomed being "home" again! She was an avid reader and a superlative chef, often demonstrating her cooking talents with family and friends. She loved our Lord and Savior and was a true child of God, extending his care and love for anyone in need. She was an "angel of kindness and love" to those whose life she touched! One of Jacquie's pastors recently reflected on her life... "Jacquie - such a precious woman. She was wise and gregarious like a middle child. She was faith-filled beyond her doubts; she was compassionate, and she had a knack of recognizing God in the oddities of life. And oh how she could read scripture - as if she had written every word and let her heart speak them." In addition to husband, Jeff, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina and daughter, Lauren Anderson of Chicago, Illinois, survivors include sister, Melanie Madigan of Tigard, Oregon; brother, Tim Guenthner of Denver, Colorado; and brother, Craig Guenthner of Lakewood, Colorado; along with several nieces and nephews. Memorials are welcome to St John's Lutheran Church in Des Moines, Iowa, "In the City for Good!" A memorial message may be sent to the family by visiting our website at www.jhenrystuhr.com. Jeff,
My sincere condolences on Jacquie´s passing! I just recently found out of your loss. She was a dear friend, though I had only known her briefly. We had been part of a group traveling to Germany in the early 1970´s. I hold only the fondest memories of her. She was a beautiful soul and the world was a better place with her presence. My love to you and your daughter.

Jacqueline will surely be missed. Met Jacqueline through our Book Club where she always had an interesting insight into the books we read. One could see Jacqueline loved God and life and her gentle soul is now home with our Heavenly Father.

Jacquie was such a delight to be around. She was always upbeat and had an incredible "Can Do" attitude. Nothing was too much for Jacquie. A refined lady who liked her "tea" in porcelain cups. You could not help but love her gentle way and pleasant smile.
Even when she retired and knew she had a health issue, there was never a time that Jacquie would be down , she had an incredible faith that sustained her through her ordeal and a loving husband who supported her throughout.
Jacquie will be missed.

I was so saddened to hear of Jackie's passing in the Des Moines Register. I remember my visits to her in the hospital and greetings over the "pew". She certainly embraced life and he r love of God. My thoughts are with you as your journey in your grief and loss.

Margie and I wish we had known Jacquie better as a neighbor, but were greatly moved by her strength and spirit as she took her walks. In watching the serice, we felt that these words of Jesus in John 14:27 seem fitting of Jacqui also. "Peace I leave with you; peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid."

Jacquie was such a fun friend. She was always ready to have an adventure. Her strong faith and love for all of God's children was an inspiration.
