Jacob Stroman Obituary

STROMAN, III, Jacob Entered into eternal rest on the evening of January 31, 2007, Jacob Paul Stroman, III. Residence, Norfolk, VA, formerly of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral services Monday, February 5, 2007 at eleven o'clock in Holy Trinity Episcopal Church. Interment, Riverview Memorial Park. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Sunday between five and seven o'clock. Mr. Stroman, III was born March 11, 1924 at Fairfield Plantation in Charleston County, SC, the son of J. Paul Stroman, Jr. and Mary Pinckney Rutledge Stroman. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Gunners Mate aboard The USS Missouri during World War II and was a member of The USS Missouri Association. He retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He is survived by two sons: Jacob Paul Stroman, IV and his wife Maureen of Spotsylvania, VA, Stephen Rutledge Stroman and his fiancé Angie Bartku of Berlin, Maryland; one grandson: Jacob Paul Stroman, V of Charlottesville, VA; two nephews: Paul Andrews and his wife Faye of Charleston, SC and Louis Andrews and his wife Jill of Augusta, GA. We have so many good memories of Paul as our brother-in-law over the years and will always cherish those memories. We and all our family will miss him.
