Jacob Krant UITGEEST, NETHERLANDS - It is with a heavy heart that we said goodbye to our one of a kind Brother, Uncle, Cousin and Friend to all, Jacob 'Jaaky' Krant, of Uitgeest, The Netherlands, on June 18, 2021. Jaaky blessed this earth on Oct. 27, 1946 to parents, Philip and Evaline Krant (OBM) in Bussum, Holland. It was a tough childhood due to World War Two as it ravaged his family and country. This did not hamper his larger than life personality and ability to make the best out of any situation. His Imagination and creative spirit always pulled him through, along with his family. Jaaky left home in the late 1960's for the Israeli Army, where he was a member of the photo press corps. This is where he honed his love of photography, even having an unknown David Bowie sitting for some of his compositions a few years later. After his service and photo studio his love of Jazz music took him through many more chapters of his life. He learned not from lessons but from attending countless Jazz performances and was rarely seen without his Saxophone or Synthesizer, as he was an incredibly gifted pioneer of the Electronic Jazz music scene. This took Jaaky all over Europe and New York, eventually settling in a 15th century castle near Avignon, France with several other musicians. He returned to Holland to help care for his aging parents. Thankfully, this is when He and His Wifey, Hanah Haven, met and together created a loving home. Jaaky was a peacemaker and wished that most for our world. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Hanah Haven of the home. Adoring big sisters, Diny Adkins of James Island, SC and Roos Elzas of Amtelveen, Holland and CousinBrother, Nathan Krant (Yvonne) of Bussum, Holland. His Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Great- Nieces adored him and feel blessed that this Funny, kind, caring, compassionate, creative human loved them so and taught them that Peace is the Answer! Fly High Unk! Shiva will be brief as Jaaky wanted. Mon June 21st and Tuesday June 22nd from 2pm to 4 pm at Indigo Hall, 509 Standard Way, James Island, SC 29412. My deepest Condolences to the family, I have great memories of jaaky especially New Year´s Eve in the late sixties-at the home of Joop and Katherine-I can just see him playing his tuba, and after a ruckus night he developed huge swollen lips the product of enjoying himself blowing his instrument, it was a sight to behold- he could hardly talk!
He definitely enjoyed a good party and everyone around him immersed themselves in his happiness
May he now play at heavens gate

Jaaky will be missed, all my memories of him are filled with love, laughter and music. He was one of the reason I learned to play the saxophone .(not nearly as good by any means as Jaaky).
Love to all
