Jacob Lavern "Tuda" Jarrell HAMPTON, SC - Mr. Jacob Lavern "Tuda" Jarrell, 71, of Pond Town Road near Hampton, died early Tuesday morning in the Veterans Hospital in Charleston. Mr. Jarrell was born in Hampton County, December 15, 1943, a son of the late William Clyde and Cynthia Susanne "Annie" Chesser Jarrell. He was a Coast Guard veteran, and was the owner and operator of L&L Parts and Service Company "Car Quest," with locations in Estill and Hampton. He attended the Hampton Primitive Baptist Church. Surviving are: His wife: Linda Kay Bowers Jarrell of Hampton; son: Rodney L. Jarrell and wife Cindy of Hampton; daughter: Lynette J. Singleton of Conway; brothers: George "Sonny" Jarrell and wife Norma of Hampton, William Frances Jarrell and wife Polly of Mobile, Alabama; Sister: Linda Shaffer and husband Ralph of Hampton; sister-in-law: Mary Ann Jarrell of Hampton; and grandchildren: Addison Jarrell "Delayna", Austin Jarrell "Courtney", Cody and Tanner Singleton, and Alexis Jarrell. Mr. Jarrell was pre-deceased by a brother: Clyde Jarrell, Jr. Funeral services will be 4 P.M. Friday in the Hampton Primitive Baptist Church, conducted by Elder Robert Dobson and Rev. Bryan Trent, with burial in the Johnson St. Paul Cemetery in Hampton, with Military Honors. Friends may call at the church Friday beginning at 2 P.M. prior to services.
