Jacob Hershberger Obituary

Dr. Jacob Nathaniel Hershberger Charleston - Dr. Jacob Nathaniel Hershberger, 27, of Charleston, SC, formerly of Bedford, PA, died Tuesday, March 20th, 2018, in Charleston due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Dr. Hershberger was born in Bedford, PA, on April 27, 1990. He was the son of Hugh and Joni (Naugle) Hershberger of Bedford. In addition to his parents, Jake is survived by his twin brother, Matthew Hershberger of North Olmsted, OH; sister, Jessica Hershberger of Bedford; brother, Brandon Hershberger of Bedford; maternal grandparents, Shirley & Richard Naugle; paternal grandparents, Betty & Gerry Hershberger and by his beloved Dalmatian, Bo. He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins that meant the world to him and many friends that were special to him. Jake was a graduate of Bedford High School Class of 2008. After high school, he attended Mount Aloysius College where he earned a PTA in May of 2011 and a Bachelor of Science Degree in May of 2012. In 2015, he received his Doctorate Degree from Saint Francis University in Physical Therapy. Jake was currently employed with Kindred at Home in South Carolina as a traveling Physical Therapist. He was formerly employed by ProCare Physical Therapy and worked at Pennknoll Village as a PRN Physical Therapist. Jake loved playing soccer. He was a member of the BHS Soccer Team in high school and was an assistant coach for the BHS Boys Soccer Team for two years. Jake was always smiling, laughing, singing, and dancing. He loved his family, his life and he was living his dream. Jake had a great impact on so many people's lives and he will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him. A funeral service will be held at Louis Geisel Funeral Home, Bedford, at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, March 27th, 2018, with Pastor Brian Clites officiating. Interment will be held at Fellowship Cemetery, Centerville. Friends are invited to call on Monday from 2-4 & 6-9 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 - 10:30 AM at the Geisel Funeral Home in Bedford.
