I have thought long and hard about the words of wisdom I could give to you. I don't have them. What I do know is that your family and faith have been the most faithful inspiration I have been able to witness in my recent life. You are the reason Jackie was such an inspiration to my son, Jamie, and my daughter, Lainey. For that, I am forever thankful. God bless you, Amen! Thank you for raising such an inspiration and may others follow his path of faith and guidance, along with his strong love of life and the knowledge that your heart is never too full for another friend. Our thoughts and prayers will always be with you, along with the gratitude of knowing Jackie. The Hayes family

I only knew Jackie through the eyes of my daughter Lacey Neal when she worked with Jackie this summer at Bubba Gump's. Her description of Jackie was that he had an unending smile, the brightest eyes and an amazing personality. Jackie helped Lacey through a difficult summer but always kept her spirit up and was an amazing friend and gentleman. You raised a son whom cared so much for others. He will be greatly missed!

Our entire family is sorry for your loss. My son Clay played with Jackie at Wando and then we were able to watch him play basketball at Cathedral because our daughter played for Collegiate in that region. Love that kid and sure will miss his hugs and georgous smile. He was a great kid!
I want you to know that for those of us who knew him, we loved him well. The sky shone a little brighter last week and I beleive it was because Jackie was there face to face smiling for his Jesus.

Mrs. Washington,
It was a pleasure to get to know Jackie during his time at Cathedral Academy. His amazing attitude and love for life was definitely contagious! Sharing his senior trip with him was a highlight as he took me by the arm and promised to take care of me in NYC! He was a good friend and teammate to my son Ben and will be remembered fondly by our family and Cathedral Academy family. Our prayers are with you and I pray for God's peace to be yours. My love to you and your family as your beloved son rests now in his Father's arms.

To Jackie's family:
I am very sorry for your loss, my condolences and prayers go out to you.
My roommate worked with Jackie, and unfortunately I only knew him for a far shorter time than I would have liked. Every time I was around him though he was always positive and complimentary in a very genuine way. He had a way of befriending people within minutes of meeting him, and I was no exception. I was looking forward to becoming good friends with him, now I am just thankful to have known him for the time I did. He was truly a person to admire and try to be like. Jackie touched my life after only being around him a handful of times, and I am very saddened by his passing.

To Jackie's Parents,
Your son befriended our son, Ryan Manley, when our son attended Charleston Southern Univeristy. On one of my last trips to visit my son, before he left Charleston, I invited my son and Jackie to dinner and spent several hours having dinner and laughs. I know it was just a glimpse into his life, but I found Jackie to be an extremely kind and respectful young man who had a great sense of humor. I am glad that I had the opportunity to have shared that time with him. Please know that our family is praying for you and we are certain that Jackie is at peace with the Lord. With deep sympathy. Jackie was such a young sweet spirit that God allowed to have amoung us for 22 years before He called him back. To the Washington family,
On behalf of my husband and myself I am sending to your family our condolences. We only met Jackie once a couple of weeks ago at Babara Jeans, however he left a lasting impression. Jackie's infectious smile and his warm way of talking to you, as though he was a life long friend, won us over.It was as though he never met a stranger. Jackie had us eating out of his hands in no time, he spoke with such knowledge of his job that we were willing to try whatever Jackie said. We too have lost a friend. So to his family and friends, we pray that God gives you peace in knowing that in his time here, Jackie has touched many lives. Thank you for a job well done in raising your son.

I didn't get to know Jackie for as long as I would have liked, and I am amazed at how much he touched my life in such a short time. Jackie was always laughing, always smiling, and most importantly, always positive. I've never heard him complain about anything, or make a negative comment about anyone. Jackie was truly one of a kind and i'm sad to say i will never meet anyone like him again. Jackie and I worked together at Barbara Jeans and he was the first person to speak to me on our first day of training. He was everyone's best friend within five minutes of meeting them and really seemed to genuinely care about everyone he met. I already miss his laughter and hugs. My condolences to his family, who he always spoke so highly of. My prayers are with you all during this difficult time... I hope you find peace in knowing how great of a person Jackie was and how many lives he touched just by being him. To mr. and mrs. Washington: you raised an AMAZING son and should be nothing but proud of what a great person he was. I'm so sorry for your loss.

I hope we all can learn to live more like you and bring joy to the lives of others everyday just as you did. It's not fair that you were taken so soon but I take comfort in knowing that God took you so early because he needed someone to bring joy to all in heaven just as you brought joy to all around you here on earth. I'll miss you bro, Rest in Peace Jackie
