Jack Wright Obituary

WRIGHT, SR., Jack Jack Dempsey Wright, Sr. 79, husband of the late Annie Ruth Owens Wright of Moncks Corner SC, passed away on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. The relatives and friends of Jack Wright, Sr. are invited to attend his Funeral Service at the Cryptside in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens on Friday, April 4, 2008 at 11:00 o'clock. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL. The family will receive friends in the Mount Pleasant Chapel on Thursday, April 3, 2008 from 6:00 until 8:00 o'clock. Mr. Wright was born January 1, 1929, in Charleston County, SC, son of the late Jerry Nelson Wright and Sally Pearl Mitchum Wright. Jack served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was a retired Security Guard for Boone Hall Plantation and the Yorktown and attended the Moncks Corner Pentecostal Holiness Church. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and will be missed greatly by those who knew him. Jack is survived by his special companion and friend, Doris Norton of Moncks Corner, SC; his daughter, Kathy Altizer and her husband, Wesley, of Fayetteville, NC; his son, Greg Wright and his wife, Karlene, of North Charleston, SC; a sister, Nettie Canty of Daniel Island, SC; two brothers, Richard F. Wright of Awendaw, SC and Woodard Wright of Ohio; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, fourteen nieces and twelve nephews. He was preceded in death by sons, Jackie Wright and Glen Wright, brothers, Jerry Wright, William Wright, Thomas Wright, Elton Wright and Russell Wright, and a sister, Flossie Garrett..
