Jack McGill Obituary

McGILL, Jack CLOVER, SC - Jack Milton McGill, 78 of 9147 Roan Creek Road, Butler, TN, died July 10, 2007 at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, TN. Funeral service will be 1 PM Friday, July 13, 2007 at Clover Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. George McGill, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Woodside Cemetery. Mr. McGill was born December 1, 1928 in York County, SC to the late Thomas Frank and Nellie Ricker McGill. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 50 years, Peggy Stevenson McGill and a brother, Thomas F. McGill. He attended Erskine College in Due West, SC and was a graduate of the University of South Carolina. He worked as an accountant in Rock Hill and owned and operated with his family Ebenezer Riding Stables for many years. Survivors are a son, Dr. Jack Milton McGill, Jr. DMD. and his wife Cathy of Beaufort, SC; daughter Peggy M. Caulder and her husband Dewey of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren, Jack Jay McGill, III of Beaufort, SC, Maggie McGill, Dylan Caulder, Chandler Caulder, and Corey Caulder all of Charleston, SC; and one great granddaughter, Sage McGill of Beaufort, SC. The family will receive friends 1 hour before the service in the Clover Presbyterian Church Atrium. Memorials may be made to American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 110 5th Ave. 2nd Floor, New York, NY, 10011. M.L.
