Jack Hunter Obituary

Jack William Hunter, Sr. CONWAY, SC - Entered into eternal rest, Jack William Hunter, Sr., 85, of Conway, SC, widower of Margaret Simmons Hunter entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in a local hospital. Jack was born March 4, 1925, in Lancaster, SC, the son of the late Clarence and Maude Hunter. Jack was a retired commercial Electrical Supervisor with Hunter Specialities, Inc. He was respected and liked by all who worked with him over the years. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2010, at 4 o'clock p.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home, entombment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday, June 25, 2010, from 6 to 9 p.m., at Carolina Memorial Funeral Home. Jack is survived by his children, Jack W. Hunter, Jr. (Shirley) of Hanahan, Vicky Hunter Redford (Gerald) of Sumter and Jimmy R. Hunter (Brenda) of Summerville. His grandchildren include Jack Hunter, Brandi Elkins, Scott Hunter, Jennifer Hunter, Patti Graves, Jason Hauser, Rob Wagner, Dan Elliot, Chris Blick, Marie Sabo and David Miller. His great-grandchildren are Evelyn Elkins, Roxy and Alice Rose Hauser, Danielle, Trinity and Roselyn Elliot, Taylor, Scott and Nicholas Graves, Lucas Gordon, and Alex Miller. His sister Fannie Hunter Prosser and brother "Buddy" Clarence Hunter, Jr. He was predeceased by his daughter Marilynn Hunter Hauser Wagner Elliot Blick, sister Mary Hunter Horton and brother Billy Hunter.
