Jack Bowers Obituary

BOWERS, Jack WALTERBORO - Mr. Jack Arnold Bowers, 64, of 2870 Cavanaugh Road, died Friday, March 31, 2006, at his residence, under the care of Odyssey Hospice. Funeral services will be held three o'clock, Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Pine Grove Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mr. Bowers was born June 29, 1941, in Colleton County and was the son of Bernice Elizabeth Roberts Bowers and the late Arnold Bowers. He was a retired maintenance worker at Colleton Medical Center and served his country in the Army National Guard. He was member of Pine Grove Baptist Church, where he was an active deacon and a member of the choir. He was an avid outdoorsman, and especially enjoyed deer hunting and fishing. Surviving are: his wife of 41 years, Linda Lee Ginn Bowers of Walterboro; his mother of Walterboro; children, Shawn Michael Bowers of Walterboro, April Denise Cantor and her husband Mark of Rogersville, TN, and Angela Lee Bowers of Walterboro; grandchildren, Tony Arnold Craven, Ariel C. Bowers, and Autumn Denise Cantor; and sister, Barbara Ann Hickman of Walterboro. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to: Colleton County Relay for Life, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406; or to Odyssey Hospice, 3870 Leeds Avenue, Suite 109, North Charleston, SC 29405.
