J. Love Obituary

J. Laverne Love CADES, SC - Joseph Laverne Love, 80, husband of Ola McKenzie Love, died peacefully Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in McLeod Hospice House in Florence. Mr. Love was born January 6, 1933, in Williamsburg County, a son of the late James Roland Love and Hattie Bowles Love. He was a graduate of Indiantown High School and was a retired insurance agent. Mr. Love was a member of Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Joe Love and a brother J.R. Love. Surviving are: his wife Ola Love, of Cades; sons, Rusty (Deborah) Love, of Lake City and Don Love, of Murrells Inlet; daughter Janet Love (Johnny) Floyd, of Lexington; 9 grandchildren, Tripp Love, Kyle Love, and Derick Love, of Kingstree, Rogan Love and Perry Lee Love, of New Zion, Allison Love (Spencer) Floyd and Lindsay Love, of Lake City, Will Love, of Columbia, and Tyler Floyd, of Florence; 1 great grandchild Lily Kate Floyd, of Lake City; and 1 sister Dorothy (Bobby) James, of Georgetown. Funeral services will be 2 PM Saturday, February 2, 2013, in the chapel of Williamsburg Funeral Home in Kingstree, with burial in Smith Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 PM Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church, 608 Ron McNair Blvd., Lake City, SC 29560 or Sandy Bay Pentecostal Holiness Church, 172 Delos Road, Kingstree, SC 29556.
