Ivan Crawford Obituary

Ivan Lee Crawford, born on May 7, 1944, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025, at the age of 81. He was surrounded by the people he loved and who loved him most in his final moments. Lee dedicated his life to service, to his family, his faith, his country, and his community. He proudly served in the United States Navy for twenty-four years, achieving the rank of Lieutenant. His time in the Navy shaped his values of discipline, integrity, and compassion, which he carried throughout his life. To those who knew him, Lee's family extended far beyond blood. His heart and home were always open– to his neighbors, his church family, and anyone in need of a helping hand or a listening ear. A devout man of faith, Lee sought to follow God's word through life's challenges and uncertainties. Though he was the first to admit he was not perfect, he continually strived to live a righteous and meaningful life. His kindness, strength, and steady faith will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by his family, friends, and the countless lives he touched. Lee has gone home to the Lord he so faithfully served. His love and compassion shine a light on all of those who loved him and guide their hearts to follow a similar path that he had. The family will celebrate Mr. Crawford's life on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, with a visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 11:00am.
