Iva Henry Obituary

HENRY, Iva Lee HAMPTON - Mrs. Iva Lee Crosby Henry, 85, of Hampton, passed away Sunday at Colleton Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, 2008 in The Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home, Varnville-Hampton Chapel. Interment will follow in Sandy Run Cemetery. Mrs. Henry was born February 12, 1923 in Brunson and was the daughter of the late Jim and Mary Cook Crosby. She was the widow of Harry L. Henry and worked for many years at the dress plants in Allendale and Estill. She was of the Baptist faith and will be remembered for her love of fishing, gardening and canning. She is survived by her children, Betty Gooding Champion of Hampton, Mary Linen of Charleston, Desser Lee Gooding of Hampton and James Thomas Brown of Summerville; a sister, Sudie Mole of Walterboro; fifteen grandchildren, including Alfred and Haley Jarrell; and sixteen great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Thomas Lee Henry and a grandson, Paul Allen Stanley. Family and friends may call Tuesday evening from 6 until 8 at THE BRICE W.
