At a hard time in my life, God sent me to be your neighbor. Little did I know what a blessing I was going to receive in the love and caring you and Mr. Green showed me over the years. Mr. Green was like a second father - always ready to help me out with a smile and to lovingly tease me about walking too fast when I cut the grass. He was truly an angel on Earth who kept is wings humbly tucked into his shirt. I wish you strength in this time of sadness and pray you find peace in the joy of his life. We are all so blessed to have known someone as sweet and special as Mr Green.
Your neighbor, Katharine Hendrix

I, too, worked with Mr. Ike at William M. Bird for many years. He was one of the kindest, sweetest men that I am sure I will have the pleasure of knowing in my life. The gentleness of his soul is so clearly reflected in that wonderful smile that he gave so graciously and so often. He will most certainly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

I worked with "Mr.Ike" for a good many years at William M Bird and then at Bird Sales. He was truly one of a kind. He would do anything he could for you and would always take that extra step. He will be missed by all who knew him and the world is a little less at his passing. John and Donna Wilson
