ALEXANDER, Isadora Isadora Burbage Alexander, 97, of Summerville, SC, widow of Nathan William Alexander, died Tuesday morning at her residence. The funeral will be 3:00 PM Thursday afternoon, Sept. 4, 2008, in the Salem Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Alexander Cemetery. Friends may call at the residence, 633 Grandfather Lane, Summerville, SC, from 5:00 until 8:00 PM this Wednesday evening. Directed by DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Mrs. Alexander was born Sept. 26, 1910, in Berkeley County, SC, a daughter of James Burbage and Ida Ann Droze Burbage. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Mrs. Alexander was preceded in death by three children, Ralph, James, and Mary Alexander; a sister, Oise Smith; and four brothers, Claudus, Vernon, James Rolland, and Oscar Burbage, Surviving are, five daughters, Annie J. Sifford and her husband, Stanley, Fannie Mae Johnson, Mildred A. Donovan and her husband, Jerry Beasley, and her twin daughters, Doris L. Clark and her husband, David, and Isadora D. Mizell and her husband, Clyde, all of Summerville; two sons, Hulbert W. Ubie Alexander and his wife, Margaret, and Arthur L. Alexander all of Summerville; a sister, Jessie Mae Burbage of Summerville; thirty grandchildren; seventy-four great grandchildren; fifty-six great-great grandchildren; and two great-great-great grandchildren.
