Isaac Anderson Speights, Jr. MT. PLEASANT - Isaac Anderson Speights, Jr., 92, husband of the late Caroline Seabrook Speights of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Tuesday, October 16, 2012. The relatives and friends of Isaac Speights, Jr. are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Friday, October 19, 2012 in the J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in New Wappetaw Church Cemetery, McClellanville, SC. The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 18, 2012 in the Mount Pleasant Chapel From 5:00 until 7:00 pm. Mr. Speights was born August 25, 1920 in Bennetts Point Island, South Carolina, son of the late Isaac Anderson Speights Sr.and the late Evelyn Johnson Speights. He was owner and operator of Speights Oil Company. Isaac loved to fish and hunt. One of his greatest enjoyments was his mountain house in Saluda, NC where he spent time with family and many friends. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marines, having served with the occupation forces during World War II.. He is survived by his sons, Isaac Anderson Speights III and his wife, Diane, of Summerville, SC and Paul H. Speights Sr. and his wife, Kathy of Charleston, SC; grandson, Andrew Speights of Poquoson, VA, granddaughter, Elizabeth (J.D.) Speights Walker of Marietta, GA, grandson, Paul (Abigail) Speights Jr. of Charleston, SC, grandson, Dustin (Chelsea) Speights of Johns Island, SC, granddaughter, Katie Speights of Breckinridge, CO, granddaughter, Susan (Phillip) Speights Brooks of New Orleans, LA, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
