Irma Harvey Jenkins, 95, of Chesterfield Virginia (formerly Evergreen, Virginia), passed
away peacefully on January 11, 2026, surrounded by loved ones at her farm in Abilene,
Virginia.
Born on January 21, 1930, in Evergreen, Virginia to Royal Penick Harvey and Eleanor
Roselie Ferguson Harvey. Irma lived a life dedicated to her deep love for God and
family. She was a proud graduate of Appomattox High School (Class of 1947). She was
also a founding member of God’s Storehouse Baptist Church, in Chesterfield, Va. Irma
retired from the Chesterfield County Department of Taxation in 1985. She enjoyed
playing bridge, singing in the church choir, traveling, and watching over the family that
she truly served as the matriarch.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 73 years Latane T. Jenkins;
parents Penick and Eleanor Harvey; sister Shirley Martin; brothers Thomas Harvey and
Dan Harvey; daughter Anne J. Robb and son in law Earle T. Robb; great granddaughter
Emma Grace Terrell.
She is survived by her daughter Carol M. Jenkins; grandchildren SGM (USA) Latane I.
Gilliam (Kimberly), Brooke G. Terrell (Mike), and Taylor Anne Zepeda (Jose); great
grandchildren Shannon Murphy, Hayden Nuttycombe, Eleanor Gilliam, Josephine
Zepeda, and a host of beloved friends and family members.
A graveside service will be held at Dale Memorial Park at on January the 20 th at 10:00AM.
