Ingrid Weeks Obituary

Ingrid Weeks Mt. Pleasant - Ingrid Y. Weeks, 83, of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away peacefully February 5, 2021 with her family at her side. She was born in Birmingham, Alabama on November 5, 1937. Upon moving to Daytona Beach in 1979, Ingrid worked as the Executive Assistant to the President at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University until her retirement in 2011. During her time in Daytona Beach, she was an active member at Central Baptist Church. After retiring, she moved to Mt. Pleasant, SC to be closer to her son and his family. Ingrid enjoyed reading, sewing and baking. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bob Weeks, and her parents, Henry Young and Lorena Taylor. She is survived by her son, Trey and his wife, Amy; beloved granddaughters, Hayden and Sienna and many other loved family members. Ingrid was a devoted mother, mother-in-law, granny, niece, cousin and friend. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant, where she served on many ministries. Ingrid was always giving back and doing for others. She truly lived a life full of service and grace. Her kindness and warm infectious smile will be greatly missed but will live on forever in our hearts. A celebration of her life service will be held at First Baptist Church, 681 McCants Dr,, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464 on March 20, 2021 at 2:00PM. A graveside service will be held at a future date at Volusia Memorial Park, 550 North Nova Road, Ormond Beach. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Roper Hospice Cottage, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464 or First Baptist Church in Mount Pleasant.
