Imelda Zauner Obituary

Imelda Helen Zauner GOOSE CREEK - Imelda Helen Zauner, age 74, of Goose Creek, SC, died March 16, 2010, at her residence. She was born in the Bronx, NY, on October 28, 1935, to the late Michael Komondy and Otilia Stefan Komondy. She loved her family and was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved working in the family's restaurants, "Pop's Pizza Parlor" in both Goose Creek and Summerville, which they owned for many years. She loved fishing, and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Anton, in their motor home. Mrs. Zauner is survived by her daughter: Susanne Petrea (Michael) of Lakeview, NC; son: Robert Zauner (Renee) of Goose Creek, SC; grandchildren: Brooke Zauner of NC, Tara Marie Petrea-Gaspar of NC, Hana Paige Petrea of NC, Kala Lynne Petrea of NC, and Sgt. Jordan Hamilton Petrea serving his country in Iraq with the United States Army. Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., on Friday, March 19, 2010, in the Carolina Memorial Funeral Home Chapel, 7113 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29406.
