Ida Welch Obituary



WELCH, Ida McCLELLANVILLE - Ida Gardner Welch died Monday, February 18, 2008, at East Cooper Regional Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant. Mrs. Welch was born in McClellanville on April 3, 1912, a daughter of the late Henry Huger Gardner and Mary Smith Gardner. She was a member of McClellanville United Methodist Church. Mrs. Welch was predeceased by: her husband, Robert Leon Welch, Sr.; and a son, Robert Leon Welch, Jr. Surviving are: three daughters, Henri Nell W. Smith of Newport News, Va., Daisy Roberta W. Lacey of Ravenell, and Mary Elinor W. Britt of Orlando, Fla.; nine grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson. Graveside services will be eleven o'clock Thursday morning, February 21, 2008, in McClellanville United Methodist Cemetery. Officiating will be the Rev. Jimmy Harper.
