Ida Gaddy Obituary

Ida Janell Gaddy N. Charleston - Ida Janell Gaddy, 91, of North Charleston, South Carolina, widow of William Harold Gaddy, Sr. entered into eternal rest Monday, August 6, 2018. Her Funeral Service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in Midland Park United Methodist Church, 2301 Midland Park Road at. Interment to follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the church from 11:00 a.m. until time of service. Arrangements by J. HENRY STUHR, INC., NORTHWOODS CHAPEL. Janell was born July 31, 1927 in New Hope, South Carolina, the daughter of the late Leon Chinners and the late Ida Harvey Chinners. She was a homemaker and enjoyed spending time with her family. She is survived by her son, William Gaddy, Jr. (Barbara) of Panama City, FL, five daughters, Bernice Harbeson (Fred Dantzler) of Harleyville, SC, Joyce Corn of Columbia, SC, Darlene Stokely (Dave) of North Charleston, SC, Patricia Ganus (Kenny) of Summerville, and Imogene Yongue (Neil) of Hilton Head, SC, 11 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, 3 sisters, Rosemary Welch, Odell Parker, Edna Cummings and 1 brother, Elmore Chinners. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Gaddy, Sr., sister, Bernice Rhodes, two brothers Clyde and Harold Chinners and granddaughter Mallory Rimmer. Memorials may be made to Midland Park United Methodist Church, 2301 Midland Park Road, North Charleston, SC 29406. My family and I are fairly new to Midland Park United Methodist and didn't know Ms Gaddy too long. From the times we did see her she was very sweet and welcoming to us. What a wonderful lady. My memories of Mrs. Gaddy is her complete and loving dedication to her family. Her legacy lives in her children and grandchildren. We thank God for such a precious woman. May we all live with such love in our hearts. I will be in Ireland on Saturday but you will be in my prayers.
