Ida Maudest Atkinson Coleman JACKSONVILLE, FL - Mrs. Ida Maudest Atkinson Coleman, wife of the late Rev. Dr. Andrew B. Coleman, Jr., passed away peacefully on November 24, 2021, at her home in Jacksonville, Florida, at the age of 94. Born in Georgetown, SC, to the late Ernest & Leola Atkinson Beck of Georgetown, Mrs. Coleman, First Lady (Emeritus) of St. Andrew and Retired Teacher, taught in Georgetown County (SC) and Duval County (FL) Schools for over 35 years. Mrs. Coleman was preceded in death by her husband; Rev. Dr. Andrew B. Coleman, Jr. ("A. B."); daughter, Arlene B. Coleman; and son, Andrew B. Coleman, III. She is survived by her Goddaughter, Dr. Julia D. Paul; grandson, Andrew B. Coleman, IV; niece, Sandra Kelly Morant; daughter-in-law, Clara Coleman; and a host of family and friends. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 12 - 3:00 P.M., in the A. B. Coleman Memorial Chapel, 5660 Moncrief Rd. (32209) and St. Andrew Missionary Baptist Church, 2600 W. 45th St., (32209) Jacksonville, FL, from 4 - 7:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. at Zion Hope Missionary Baptist Church, 2803 Edgewood Ave., W., Jacksonville, FL 32209.
