Ian Overmier Obituary

Ian C. Overmier NEW YORK CITY, NY - Ian C. Overmier, 28, of New York City, formerly of Pittsburgh, PA, and Charleston, SC, passed away Saturday June 4, 2022, in New York City from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was born December 20, 1993, in Atlanta, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Heidi (Stapf) Overmier. Ian received his associates degree from the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, NY, and trained in Europe en route to becoming a Chef. He worked at Regalis Foods in food sales following a number of years as a Chef in the food industry. Ian enjoyed traveling, hiking, fly fishing, and time spent with Family and Friends. Surviving are his father and step-mother, Greg and Becky Overmier; two siblings, Kaitlyn Overmier and Zachary Parsons; his love, Rachael Vazquez; and a large family of his mother's and many dear friends. In following with Ian's wishes a private gathering to celebrate his life will be held with family and friends. Arrangements were entrusted to Wheeler Funeral Homes.
