Jo, I just learned of Hugh's death. It is so sad for all of us to lose such a warm gentle man. I continue to refer to his Guide and am honored to have served as his podium assistant in parlimentary procedure.

Jo, I look forward to your finishing your fine book and stand ready to read/edit a re-write. Just tuck your manuscript under your arm and come to Boston.

Dear Jo Anne and Family,

My wife and I send our deepest sympathy to you. May Almighty God comfort you and strengthen you in the days ahead. Hugh sat next to me for two years on the Charleston County School Board, and we conferred on several items to further the education of our children, and that is what serving entails. God Bless you.
