Hilda de la Vega Obituary

de la VEGA, Hilda Hilda de la Vega, 83, widow of John W. de la Vega of Summerville, SC, passed away October 8, 2005, at a local hospital. Funeral services will be held at Unity Church of Charleston, Wednesday morning, October 12, 2005, at 11 a.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Church of Charleston, 2535 Leeds Ave., Charleston Heights, SC 29409. Mrs. de la Vega was born in Brooklyn, NY, on October 28, 1921, a daughter of Frederick J. Frankenhoff and Elsie Urban Frankenhoff. She was a retired teacher. Survivors include: one son, Kerry de la Vega of Huntersville, NC, and three daughters, Lynn Pierce of Summerville, SC, Karen DeLucca of Loganville, GA, and Shelley Tarantino of Lawrenceville, GA, 11 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
