To our beloved Sister Hellene Brown Walker & the Family of the late Hezekiah Brown, Jr:
Our hearts are deeply saddened to hear of the loss of your loved one; at the same time, we rejoice in God our Savior for the life he lived and in knowing this awesome Man of God has gone home to be with the Lord.
Yet if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which
sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. For this we say unto you by the word
of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the
Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of
the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise
first:
Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord. Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
I Thessalonians 4:14-18
Our prayer is that the love of God will strengthen you and keep you in perfect peace as your minds are stayed on Him.
Yours in Christ Jesus,

Uncle Brown, you served as my Leader in Payne Church. You took time with me; to talk with me; to let me know that our God loved me, despite of me. You prayed for me and for this, I thank you. Rest in Peace.

My deepest sympathy to the family of Mr. Hezekiah. I met Mr. Brown in 2002 when I came to work for the Town of James Island. Mr. Brown was always very kind and always had an encouraging word to share. May God bless you during this time of bereavement.

I offer condolences to the family and close friends of Mr. Hezekiah Brown on his death. What a remarkable gentleman, so friendly and with such a warm demeanor. Mr. Brown had the capacity to draw people out and make them feel good about themselves with that big big smile. He never fail to stop and chat whenever you saw him at Payne Church or in the community. His presence in and around James Island will surely be missed by his family, and friends. Rest in the Lord Mr. Brown.
