Several of our family members including myself, Mrs. Stanyard taught as well as my older sister Dorothy was one of her co-workers (Teacher) at Laing High School, Mt. Pleasant, SC. I am glad I had a chance to visit with her several times in her latter years; she was a sweet and receptive lady. "Rest in Peace from your Labor on Earth, Mrs. Stanyard."

Geormine, Dewey, and Family: Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Mrs. Stanyard was a great, life-long, “old school” educator. I enjoyed your parents’ hospitality many times in our youth. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. My condolences to your wonderful family.
