I went to church with Mr.Herman and Mrs. Nell. I grew up at Jedburg church. Mr.Herman was a honest,hardworking man. I remember him always being kind,and would help anyone anyway he could. Mrs Nell and family I am sorry for your loss..Patricia Bazzle Oakley

Nell, I have many memories over the years of both you and Herman. The last being the 50th anniversary for Bubba and Mary. I would like to think that Herman knew who I was that day.... Mr. Herman was always a joy to be around. I enjoyed working for him and Mrs. Nell and Todd. He always took the time to talk to me at work and tell me wonderful stories of my Daddy. His obituary is a statement of the man he truly was wherever he went, with whomever he spoke, and an example of true Southern Gentleman Praying for God to surround you with your special memories of Mr. Herman during these days and days to come.

I had the pleasure of being one of Herman's classmates for several years, Summerville High School, Class of 1961. From our family to Herman's, please accept our sincere condolences for your loss. He was a bright young boy, a fine student to share thoughts ideas and dreams with, and his later accomplishments in life say it all. God bless Herman.

Nell and family.
We were so sad to hear about Herman. When I think about Jedburg and the time I spent there, I always think about Herman. He was definitely one of the good guys I remember from my childhood. I am so glad we got to see him one last time when we were back in Jedburg in September, 2012.
