Herman Luther Clark CHARLESTON - Herman Luther Clark, 99, of Charleston, South Carolina, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 14, 2023. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 18, 2023, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. West Ashley Chapel from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm. His Funeral Service will be held Sunday, March 19, 2023, in the West Ashley Chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Herman was born February 2, 1924, in Danville, Virginia, son of the late Herman Randolph Clark and Annie Lee Groom Clark. Herman served during World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. He was a past deacon with Hampton Park Baptist Church, and a current member of Ashley River Baptist Church. Herman was also a Master Mason with the Franklin Lodge, and a 70 year member of the local Ironworkers Union. He is survived by his sons, Randy Clark and Wayne Clark (Patricia A. Luck), both of Charleston; and his grandson, Adam Clark of Charleston. In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Beatrice Way Clark.
