I always felt Herman was larger than life and looked forward to seeing him at the family reunions. My fondest memory is seeing him and Joanne on a float in the Sun Fun Parade in Myrtle Beach in 1963. WOW! I said to my buddies that's my cousin. Randy Coker Tobaccoville,NC

I remember the time that the football team at Andrews High went into his office thinking that we could persuade Mr. Cain to let one of our team members play that had been suspended.
We left out quickly with our head dropped and our tails between our legs. You did not change his mind. Ours prayers are with the family.

Farewell to a highly decorated and special WWII Veteran. Mr. Cain, as you sit above, thank you for serving our country with valor and sacrificing your health for freedom's sake. God bless you. Mr. Cain made a difference in the lives of many people, both as a person, a veteran and a respected educator. I'll always cherish the fond memories of Mr. Cain when he was the superintendent of Wampee-Little River High School in the 1960's (now North Myrtle Beach High School). As we mourn his passing, please let us also celebrate his extraordinary life. Thoughts and prayers are with the family, his many friends and former students. Please take comfort knowing that this great man is now without pain and in God's Loving Care.

Earl, so sorry to hear of your Father's passing. The 3 of us shared some really good times with our "feathered" friends. Those are some memories that I for one will never forget. Harry Batten, Jr. Harleyville, SC

Sorry to hear of your loss. I remember the Cains when they were in Ocean Drive. The "boys" were a little older than I but remember them well.
