Ginger and Loretta,
My condolences to you on the death of your father. I am so sorry for you both and for the rest of your family. It is a very sad and difficult rite of passage when one loses a parent, regardless of age or illness. My thoughts are with you all.

My heart was broken w/ the news of the passing of my favorite guest at High Cotton. Herb, or as I called him, Herbalicious, was a truly unique and amazing man. He always had a smile on his face and kind words in his heart.

Herb had a way about him that made you come from across a room and hug him. He called me "darlin'" and I liked that.

Loretta,Ginger,Gary&Isabel,
I have been asking Aunt Dot for years about Herbert and she did not know where he was. Cathy & I have been in Mt. Pleasant for 2 years and I wished I had known he was so close so I could have visited him.
You all must know how much we thought of Herbert and the gratitude we have for him when he was always there for our family over the years.
I am planning on coming to Columbia for the Funeral and hope to see all of you there.
Our thoughts & Prayers are with you all.
