Herbert Meason Obituary

Herbert Ewing Meason, Jr. CHARLESTON - Entered into eternal rest on the evening of September 22, 2009, Herbert Ewing Meason, Jr. of Charleston, SC, husband of Karoline Iblacker Meason. A memorial service will be held Sunday, September 27, 2009, at two o'clock at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., WEST ASHLEY CHAPEL, 3360 GLENN McCONNELL PARKWAY, CHARLESTON, SC 29414. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Memorials may be made to a charity of one's choice. Burial services will be conducted later in Riverside Cemetery, Asheville, North Carolina. Mr. Meason was born in Hapeville, GA., on July 11, 1928, the son of Herbert E. Meason, Sr., and Josie Mae Akin Meason. He was a Master Sergeant, serving in Viet Nam, retired from the United States Air Force after 27 years of service, and attended St. Barnabas Lutheran Church. In addition to his wife Karoline of 57 years, he is survived by his daughter, Monica Meason Dainer and her husband, Paul of Evans, GA, his son, Charles Joseph Meason and his wife Elizabeth of Asheville, NC, four brothers; William Meason of Atlanta, GA, Eugene Meason of Seneca, SC, Thomas Meason of Atlanta, GA, Robert Meason of Atlanta, GA, three grandchildren; Erin Dainer, Nicole Yim, Caroline Dainer, and one great grandchild, Joon Yim.
