Again, my condolences to the family of my fraternity brother, Brother Herbert Cunningham.

To the family of Mr. Herbie Cunningham. I was so very sorry to hear of his passing. I will always remember in my youth going to the concerts at the Municipal Auditorium. We would go up the elevator and sit up front before the doors opened to the public. I have fond memories growing up with you all on Glenwood Avenue. My deepest empathy goes out to you. God heals.

Wow! Unfortunately, I just learned of Herb's passing today! Herb was my brother in Christ and we worked together in the community when I was stationed in Charleston. Herb was a funny guy who told great stories and a tireless worker for those who were disenfranchised. Herb left a great legacy for all of us to follow. RIP my bro and thanks for being a voice for the voiceless. My condolences to Sister Cynthia and the girls.

I send my condolences to the Cunningham family. Herbert was a college classmate at Johnson C. Smith University.

My deepest condolences to the family of Herbert Cunningham. Mr. Cunningham was a Big Brother to me at an after school program at Our Lady of Mercy church in Charleston during the 1960s. I remember him as a generous and kind person who invited me into his beautiful family. May he rest in peace.

To Tammie and family I am praying that God in time will heal your broken hearts and your loving memories will keep you close to him always.

Herbie and my husband, Raymond "Pee Wee" Gethers brought a lot of laughter to my home that he visited often. He was loved and will be missed by many.

Raymond Gethers, my husband who passed in 1988,and Herbie were not only Kappa brothers but the two were the best of friends whospent much time together. They brought much laughter to many friends. May God give you and your family comfort in knowing that he was loved by many .

Stunned to hear of Herbie's passing. He was influential in my life. As a teenager working at DeeDex, Herbie helped me navigate my teenage years and was always a wisen and spirited soul who knew how to talk to a young man in ways that were meaningful.

To the Family of the late Mr. Herbert "Herbie" Cunningham, and The Johnson C. Smith University Family and chapters in Charlotte, NC, Charleston, SC and abroad, I extend my condolences upon hearing of his transition. Do find consolation in knowing that he is resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father from whom all blessings flow. "When praises/prayers go up, blessings come down."
He will be sorely missed.
