He walked in the footprints of God
Choosing the straight and narrow
He cared not for his own glory
He was content in the Master's shadow

A new church to be founded
Empty pews to be filled
Lost souls to be saved
A humble man to do his will

So he lifts his hands in praise
Falls to his knees in prayer
Embraces every oportunity
The Lord's words to share.

He walked in the footprints of God
Heaven's door his destination
Never minding the unpaved roads
That lead to eternal creation.

The work that Rev. Pinckney has done will surely speak volumes for/about his life. "Rest In Peace Pastor".

Mrs. Pinckney, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Rev. Pinckney. He was such a kind, compassionate person. I met him years ago when my mother was living and he was the pastor of St. John AME Church in Wando. I saw him at the leadership congress last week and no matter where you met him , he always had a smile on his face, He will truly be missed, but you know God allowed him to live such a rich life. God will take care of you and the family. Lift up you eyes unto the hill from which your strength will come.

Dear Virginia and Family:

There just aren't enough words to convey our sorrow for your grief. Our Cousin and spiritual Brother is sorely missed.

However, we understand that our Cousin is in a better place. Our omnipotent Creator is still in control, and it is in accordance with His will that we must accept events.

Our dear Cousin is now in a better place. Our strength comes from our Redeemer who knows all things. The Lord is indeed our Shepherd.

We can rest assured in Scripture (2 Cor 5:7,8), which I quote: "For we live by faith, not by sight. We are confident, then, and would prefer to be away from this body and to live with the Lord." May God comfort you and give you peace.

Please don't hesitate to call, if we may assist in any way.

Virginia,Sarah,Earl and family,
I read with sorrow of the passing of your husband and Father on Saturday. I know you will truly miss him.
What hope you have of seeing him again in Heaven. "To be absent from the body is to be at home with the Lord" What comfort it is to know where he is. My love and prayers are with you and your family .
