Henry Laffitte Obituary

Heaven rejoice to receive one of it's wonderful servants. He was an excellent influence to Frances and
her children at the Ramada Inn in Hardeeville, SC. Many blessings is our prayer.

So sorry to hear about Henry, he was truly a special person who will be missed by many. May God bless you all.

I am so sorry to hear of Henry's passing. I had the privilege of serving , with Henry, on the South carolina Bankers School staff, for many years and cherish the time we spent together. A fine man , who will be missed.

I had the honor and pleasure to get to know Henry during my time with the Independent Banks of South Carolina. Working with him was a true joy and seeing him at our monthly breakfast meetings was always the highlight of my week.

He was a true gentleman and always quick with a joke. I know he will be missed tremendously by his family, friends and the entire community. Sending lots of love and prayers.

I am deeply saddened by Henry's passing. He was a great friend to me both personally and professionally in my years at USC Salkehatchie, and he was a most valued supporter of Salkehatchie. No one else deserved honors more, nor bore them more modestly. I will miss him.

My prayers go out to all Henry's family. Henry lived just down the street from me in Estill until he moved and we played together as childhood friends. After I moved from Estill, I often wondered what became of him and now I see that he led a highly productive and inspiring life. I wish that I had known him as an adult, but my memories of his smiles and sense of humor make me smile even now. May God give you peace.

My daughters and I are so sad to learn of Henry's passing. He was a true Southern gentleman and a friend to all who knew him. Henry always had a smile and a hug for everyone. He supported organizations, such as Hospice. I will never forget the breathtakingly beautiful Christmas trees that he decorated for the Festival of Trees. They were truly works of art. Henry walked with God here on Earth, and now he is walking with God in heaven. May God grant all of Henry's many family members and friends the strength and comfort that only He can give. Growing up in Estill, I have such fond memories of Henry and all of the Laffitte family. Henry was always so interesting, witty, and fun to be around. I send my condolences to Libby and all of the family.

I thought of Henry often. Just at Christmas my daughter in law and I were at my kitchen table, and she ask if I had any "regrets " on decisions I've made, the first thing I said was I wish I had not left CCB! I enjoyed working with Henry all 11 years, but my mom lived in Barnwell and the drive from Denmark was a long day. I'm never without a story about Henry which usually involved Spann!! I was working when all the cousins were suppose to be working there!!! Henry will always have a special place in my heart. It was a good 11 years.
