Henry Finch Obituary

To the Finch Family,
I am sorry to hear of Henry's passing. He was such a good man. During the early years of IOP Beach and Racquet Club, Henry always had the vision. We shared many laughs over the years and I am thankful he encouraged me to buy my first home on Forest Trail. When I asked if I should purchase the home, Henry answered simply by saying "they just aren't making any more islands so I can't see how you could go wrong!" I always cherished his advice. He will be greatly missed. I am thankful to have been a part of Henry's Team. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Hey Mac, was sorry to hear about your dad. I loved waiting on him at the Charleston Crab House. He will indeed be missed. My prayers are with you and your family.

hello Henry J & Family, So sorry to hear of your dad's passing. As a kid growing up on the Isle of Palms, I had many good memories of your dad. With you in the spirit.

I was saddened to read that Henry passed away. He was a true pioneer in real estate development as well as mobile communications. As a respected community leader he will be sorely missed by many. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Mr. Henry Finch was my first employer after completing four years of military service. Computer Records only had one office in Columbia.
We continued to grow the business into five processing centers. I learned a lot from Henry, Mr. Finch Senior, and Ken Long. It seems like yesterday....Mac told all of us in our East Cooper carpool that his dad was going to build a big resort on the end of the IOP. A very successful and dedicated man who loved his family and community, Mr. Finch will be missed!

Don't know if you remember me from when you all lived next to Don and Gloria Murphy and I was married to Jim Baxter, but I sure do remember what great neighbors and friends you were and how wonderful the children were. I've thought of the fun we had together many times thru the years

My memories of The Finch Family started when they began building at Wild Dunes and the beautiful place they created that my family has gone to over and over and loved every minute and memory we shared. Henry will be missed by all those who knew him and the family.

I was saddened to hear of your loss. Uncle Henry was an amazing man and loved by so many. Through his years on Isle of Palms he has touched the lives of everyone he has been friends with or have been apart of his life through their employment.
