Dear Ed, Lynne, Nancy, Carol, Richard and Helen- I just heard of your mom's passing and am so very sorry for your loss. We Pentwater folks will all miss her terribly, but her strong, unique absolutely lovable personality has made an unforgettable impression on us all and memories of her will be there- at the curve in the path... in the shade of the umbrella... Even now I can hear her laugh and her strong voice ringing through the forest!

I knew Hemrietta from both the Friends of the Library and thru COD. She was a warm wonderful woman with a great sense of humor. A delight to know. I have two of her paintings which I will cherish. I am so sorry that she is lost to our world.

To the Family of Henrietta Tweedie: My sincerest condolences. As steward of St. Stephen Prairie in Milton Township, I came to know how significant Henrietta's volunteer efforts and advocacy over the years were for the preservation and restoration of this historic cemetery and prairie. I had the honor of meeting her at one of the family remembrance days held there in the last three years. May new generations of volunteers come forward to continue the work she devoted herself to. —Ray Ribich

I am so very sorry so hear about her passing. I fondly remember her art, her will and drive, taking time to talk to a kid in the neighborhood and really caring about what I thought. She would gently nurture ideas. I am better having known her. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It is with sadness and a sense of deep affection that I learned of the passing of this strong, fascinating woman. In addition to being a marvelous artist, Mrs. Tweedie had a gift for saying what was true, getting to the point with wit and warmth. My condolences to the family.

Dear Ed and Family,
How I will always love my friend Henri, my partner in teaching, always the instructor, Renaissance woman. She touched my life and changed me in important ways - she was the greatest surprise on my journey in educating and embracing the arts. She was ours for a moment, beautiful lady. Much love, -jan krischer

Dear Ed, I remember lively and delicious dinners at your Wheaton home. though I've been in FL for 32 years - where my daughter was born. Henrietta gave me a batiK of sandpipers which I will pass on to Joslyn --- how appropriate and charming. I still treasure my autographed copy of Wildflowers of Michigan. My sympathy and warmest regards to you and your family.

Over thirty years ago, I used to mow Mrs. Tweedie's lawn which seemed to be the biggest in all of Wheaton. She was kind, generous and always interested in what I was doing (baseball, school, etc.). She recommended and then gave me books from her own library. She was a wonderful person. My thoughts and prayers are with her family.
