Helena Froese Obituary

Funeral services for Helena Froese, age 60 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Sunday, October 12, 2025 at Sommerfeld Mennonite Church at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Isaac Fehr officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Helena Froese was born May 7, 1965 in Mexico to Maria (Groening) and Cornelius Wall. She married Ben Froese on September 4, 1983 in Mexico. She was a loving homemaker, mother and grandmother who showed her love through acts of service and her amazing cooking. Helena was known to be very strong-willed and independent; anything in the house that was broken she was sure to fix. She was a devoted Christ follower who never missed a bible study or a worship service. Helena cherished her time with those in her church community and loved to worship with anyone who was near her. She especially loved hosting her family and enjoying meals with one another.

Mrs. Froese passed away on October 9, 2025 in Seminole. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by one son and one brother. Helena is survived by her husband, Ben Froese of Seminole; her mother, Maria Wall of Mexico; one son, Cornelius Froese and wife Susana of Seminole; two daughters, Marie Froese and husband Henry of Loop, Texas, and Amanda Knelsen and husband John of Seagraves, Texas; a daughter in law Anna Froese of Seminole; five brothers, Jacob Wall and wife Helen of Canada, Cornelius Wall and wife Aganetha, Johan Wall and wife Anna, Peter Wall and wife Margarita, and Henry Wall and wife Anna, all of Mexico; one sister, Aganetha Loewen and husband John of Mexico; and fifteen grandchildren.
