Helen Shramek Obituary

SHRAMEK, Helen FAIRFAX - Mrs. Helen Williams Shramek, 68, of Lady's Island and formerly of Fairfax, SC, died Monday evening, October 20, 2008 in the Ridgeland Nursing Home after an extended illness. Born April 12, 1940 in Moselle, SC, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd Benjamin Williams and Mary Margaret Stephens Williams. Mrs. Shramek had retired from the Town of Fairfax as the Town Clerk, had also been the owner of the Linen Junction in Frogmore and was a member of the Fairfax First Baptist Church in Fairfax, SC. She will be remembered by those who knew her and by her family as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by two daughters, Susan S. Hudson of Fairfax, SC and Kimberly Ann Doll and husband Matthew of Charlotte, NC; four brothers, Franklin Williams of Gainsboro, TN, Bobby Williams of Allendale, SC, Ben Williams of Swansee, SC and Patrick Williams of Brunson, SC. There are six grandchildren, Hanna, Sidney and Jacob Doll and Ashley, Jessica and Mallory Hudson. Funeral services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2008 at 11 AM in the chapel of Peeples-Rhoden Funeral Home of Hampton. Burial will follow in the Fairfax Cemetery in Fairfax. Friends may call at the funeral home, located at 300 Mulberry Street West, Hampton, SC 29924 (803-943-3352) on Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 PM and until the hour of the service on Thursday.
