Helen "Peggy" Withrock Powell N. CHARLESTON - Helen "Peggy" Withrock Powell, 81, of North Charleston, South Carolina, wife of Vernon Nebraska Powell, entered into eternal rest Sunday, May 25, 2025. Her Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 28, 2025, in the J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel, 3360 Glenn McConnell Parkway, at 2:30 pm. The family will receive friends Wednesday at 1:00 pm. Peggy was born August 31, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina, daughter of the late Henry Withrock and the late Louise Withrock. Peggy loved gardening, flowers, shopping, and bling! She graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing and served as a surgical nurse for years. After retirement, she volunteered at the Animal Helpers' ReTail store. In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Vernon Thomas Powell; daughter, Miki Powell Devito; grandchildren, Kristina Powell, Jessica Powell, and Joseph Devito; sisters, Joyce Bradley, and Kristie McClanahan; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
