I knew Nitsa from Mason Prep as the best librarian ever. The students loved her and the teachers respected her tremendously. May she rest in peace.

It´s hard to think of football weekends in Clemson, especially Homecoming, without seeing Nitsa´s smiling face surrounded by at least 10 or 12 of her cherished family. I´ll miss those big hugs she never failed to give no matter how busy it was.

Nitsa was a wonderful friend for over 72 years, from middle school through the present. What an amazing and gifted person she was! For all of her life, she was a true servant leader at school, at home, at work, in her church, and in the community. Though the years after marriage found us living at a distance from each other, she remained a friend and exemplar to me always! I will miss her terribly. Dean Clifford
